How much does a FiveM minimap cost? Free packs, presets, editors and commissions, priced
A FiveM minimap costs anywhere from nothing to a couple of hundred dollars, and the number on the listing tells you very little about what you get for it. Two maps at the same price can differ by a factor of four in resolution; a free one can cost you an afternoon; a $150 commission can arrive without the radar tiles. This guide prices every route to a custom minimap, says what each price includes, and names the costs that are not on the invoice.
Short answer: Free packs cost $0 and are shared with every other server that downloaded them. Tebex presets run about $8 to $30 for a fixed look, often the same free map with a colour filter. Browser and in-game editors sit around $8 to $20 and let you brand the map yourself. Commissions start near $40 and go past $150, with quality that depends entirely on the artist. Here, a finished map is $8.00 on any of three bases in twelve palettes, a logo or text element is $1.00, the licence is lifetime and re-downloads are free. Under $10 buys the same resolution a commission would charge $60 for; the difference is how much of the look is yours.

#The price of every route, in one table
| Route | Price | What you get | What you do not |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free pack (MIT) | $0 | A complete map, one look, one postal decision | Palette choice, branding, uniqueness |
| Free pack (forum) | $0 | Often pause-map only, single mip level | A licence, the radar, sharpness |
| Tebex preset | $8 – $30 | One fixed look, sometimes escrowed | Usually no branding; often a recoloured free map |
| Browser / in-game editor | $8 – $20 | Your logo and text on a finished base | Full artistic freedom |
| This shop | $8 + $1 per element | Twelve palettes, three bases, logo and text, lifetime licence | A hand-drawn one-off |
| Commission | $40 – $150+ | A one-off drawn to your brief | Speed, guaranteed specs, revisions without a fee |
Typical 2026 prices. Ranges are what you will actually see on Tebex, the cfx.re forum and commission threads.
#$0: what free actually costs
Nothing at checkout. The costs are time and identity. Time, because most free packs need fixing — a missing LOD sheet, a single mip level that shimmers, a conflicting resource — and an hour of a server owner’s evening is not free. Identity, because a free map is the same map on every server that downloaded it, and it cannot carry your name. Free versus premium goes through both in detail and names the two free packs that are genuinely worth using.
#$8–$30: Tebex presets, and the recolour problem
Search Tebex for "FiveM minimap" and most results are a single fixed look between $8 and $30, often behind escrow. Some are original work. A noticeable number are one of the free MIT packs with a hue shift and a new name, which is legal under MIT and still not something you should pay $30 for. The tell is the road geometry and the label font: if they match neen-atlasmap exactly, you are looking at a recolour.
The questions to ask any preset seller are numeric — source resolution, mip count, compression, number of dictionaries — and whether you can place your own logo. If the answers are a screenshot, that is the answer.
#$8 here: what the price includes
One finished map, rendered at the native 6144 × 9216 sheet from a 226-megapixel source, with full mip chains and DXT5 tiles, every dictionary the game asks for, the geometry and the zoom data, and a manifest that already works. Any of twelve palettes on any of three bases — with postals, without, or Google-style — at the same price. The licence covers one server network for as long as you run it, re-downloads are free, and if the map is rebuilt the file behind your link is updated.
- $8.00 — one map, any palette, any base
- $1.00 — each logo or text element placed in the studio, built into the texture
- Element packages — the per-element price drops if you place several
- Bundle discount — applied automatically when a second map is in the cart
- $0 — the live preview, re-downloads, and rebuilt versions
Why it is this cheap: the expensive part was done once. The map structure — land, water, relief, road tiers, coast — is built a single time and coloured per palette in minutes, which is also why a branded map is built about a minute after payment. There is no artist re-drawing the city for each order, and the output is the same at any price. The cheap minimap page has the shorter version.
#$40–$150+: commissions, and what to put in the brief
A commission buys an artist’s time and a map nobody else has. That is worth paying for if you want something the presets and editors cannot do — a hand-drawn style, a map of a custom island, a specific illustration. It is not worth paying for if what you want is a clean dark map with your logo on it, because that is $9 here and arrives in a minute.
If you do commission one, the brief should specify the numbers, because a surprising number of commissions arrive as a beautiful pause map with no radar tiles. Ask for the full 2 × 3 sheet at 3072 per tile, DXT5 with full mip chains, all twelve dictionaries plus LOD, the .ydd and zoom data, and the source file so you can change it later. The technical specification is the checklist to attach.
