The safest palette for any HUD and the one most often bought as a first map.
6144 × 9216 px · 78 files · without postal codesA cheap FiveM minimap that is not a cheap map
Eight dollars is the price of a finished FiveM minimap here, and it is worth being clear about what that buys, because "cheap" in this hobby usually means one of two things: a free pack with strings attached, or a $30 Tebex listing for the same free pack with a colour filter on it. This is neither. It is a complete 78-file resource rendered from a 226-megapixel source, in whichever of the twelve palettes you pick, on whichever of the three base maps suits your server. You own it, you install it, you never pay for it again.
What we would run on this kind of server
Three concrete recommendations rather than a shrug — with the reason attached.
Dark, neutral and with postals in — the most common combination on RP servers.
6144 × 9216 px · 78 files · with postal codesA colour map with real terrain for the price of a plain one.
6144 × 9216 px · 78 files · google styleWhat $8.00 includes
The whole map. Every texture dictionary the game loads, the LOD sheet, the geometry, the zoom data and a manifest that already works. It is licensed for one server network for as long as you run it, re-downloads are free, and if the map is ever rebuilt the file behind your link is updated. There is no tier that unlocks the full resolution, no watermark that a higher price removes, and no monthly fee.
Adding your own server logo or text is $1.00 per element, and element packages bring that down further if you place several. Two maps together cost less than two maps — the bundle discount is applied automatically in the cart, which is why servers that run a day and a night palette usually buy both at once.
- $8.00 — one finished map, any palette, any base map style
- $1.00 — each logo or text element you add in the studio
- Lifetime licence for your server, free unlimited re-downloads
- No subscription, no upsell to a "full" version
- Bundle discount applied automatically for two or more maps
What a free map costs
Nothing at checkout, and that is genuinely fine for a server that has not launched. The costs arrive later. The free map is the same map on hundreds of other servers, so it does nothing for your identity. Several of the popular ones have no stated licence, which becomes a question the day you take donations. Most bake in postal numbers you cannot remove, or a district name set you did not choose, or occasionally the previous owner’s logo in the sea. And when you eventually want your own name on it, there is no source to edit — you start over.
The honest comparison is in the free-versus-premium guide. The short version: free is the right answer until the day the map needs to be yours, and on that day $8.00 is the cheapest way to get there.
Why it is this cheap
Because the expensive part was done once. The map is rendered by a pipeline that builds the structure — land, water, relief, road tiers, coastline — a single time, and then colours it per palette in about two minutes. There is no artist re-drawing the city for each order. That is also why the studio can build a map with your logo on it in under a minute after payment: the art is already finished, and the only thing that changes is what you put on top.
The price is set so that a server owner does not have to think about it. Below the cost of a month of hosting, below most single vehicle models, and below the time it would take to make a worse one yourself.
Cheap and open source: nothing is locked
Most cheap FiveM minimaps on Tebex are escrowed — the files are encrypted, only a config is readable, and if anything needs fixing you are back to the seller. Every map here is open source in the FiveM sense: no escrow, no FXAP, no encryption. The stream folder contains ordinary .ytd texture dictionaries you can open in OpenIV or CodeWalker, re-compress, or combine with a map mod yourself. The licence covers one server network, and it hides nothing from the server that paid for it.
Under $10, and what you should still check
Price does not tell you whether a map will work on your server. Before buying any minimap anywhere, check that it ships all twelve texture dictionaries and not just the pause map, that the source is at least 6144 × 9216, that the licence is stated, and that nothing else in your resources already streams minimap files. Every map here passes the first three; the fourth is on you, and the install guide walks through it.
