GTA 5 map object locations — 33,912 coordinates

Almost every custom job on a FiveM server is a list of coordinates with a prompt attached. This is that list, for 22 kinds of object the base map already places: where each one stands, which way it faces, and which district it belongs to. The positions are read out of the game files, the district on every row is computed here from the zone boundaries the game ships, and every table is free to download as JSON or CSV.

How to read a row

  • Model — the object model name. Hand it to GetHashKey, or write it as a backtick literal, and GetClosestObjectOfType will find the placed prop near the player.
  • X, Y, Z — the position the game ships, rounded to centimetres. The Z is the prop origin, which for most models sits at its base rather than at the part a player touches.
  • Heading — the Z rotation in degrees, 0 to 360. This is the direction the model faces, and it is what a seated animation, a parked vehicle or a camera needs to line up with the object.
  • District — the named zone that contains the point, resolved against the game's own zone boxes. Where zones nest, the smallest one wins.

Questions people ask

Where do these GTA 5 coordinates come from?
From the publicly published DurtyFree GTA V data dumps, which read the object placements out of the game files. Nothing here is measured by standing in the world and writing numbers down, so the positions are the ones the game itself uses.
What does the district column mean?
Every coordinate is tested against the zone boxes the game ships and labelled with the zone that contains it, picking the smallest matching box so the answer is Pillbox Hill rather than Los Santos. That lets a job stay inside one neighbourhood without any hand sorting.
Can I use these lists in my own resource?
Yes. Every table is published as JSON and CSV with CORS open and no key, so you can ship the file inside a resource or fetch it in a build step. Facts about a game are not ours to licence; the game assets themselves belong to Take-Two and Rockstar.
Why are the headings useful?
Because a prop that faces the wrong way breaks the illusion. A bench seats a ped facing out, a fuel pump has a nozzle side, a bus shelter faces the road: the heading is what lets a script line an animation or a vehicle up with the object instead of guessing.
Do these props exist on every FiveM server?
They are base map placements, so yes, unless a resource has removed or replaced that part of the map. Objects added by an MLO or a custom map resource are not in these lists, because they are not in the base game files.
