About the Vortex design
Vortex is built from light. Instead of straight dividers, the slots are separated by spiral arms that curve toward the center, each trailing motion streaks so the wheel looks like it is turning. A dark field sits behind the arms, and particles float across it in a scattered pattern. In the middle, a containment core glows in the energy color, with the weapon name and attachment above the 3D center mark. When you select a weapon, its slot brightens with energy, pulled into the swirl. It is the most dynamic looking design in the sci-fi range, and it stays readable because the icons and counts sit in calm areas between the arms.
Pairing it with your minimap
Vortex pairs with dark sci-fi and neon minimaps. Coolant, cyan on dark, matches a black map with cyan roads. Solar brings warm orange-gold for amber maps, Nebula uses purple and pink for synth or space themes, Venom is a toxic green for outbreak maps, and White hole is bright white for monochrome HUDs. Because Vortex already has so much motion, a flat minimap with no texture keeps the HUD balanced. Match the energy color to your map lines. Keep text white so it reads over the glow.

Vortex weapon wheel FAQ
Does Vortex actually spin?
The spiral arms and motion streaks make it look like it is spinning, but the slots stay in fixed positions so players always know where each weapon is. Selection motion can be static, pop out or 3D tilt, set in the studio.
Can I tone down the particles?
Yes. Motion streaks, core light, particles and particle pattern are all adjustable. Fewer particles and softer streaks give a calmer wheel that sits more comfortably next to a detailed minimap. The core light can be lowered too if the center feels too bright.
Which palette suits a space themed server?
Nebula, with its purple and pink tones, fits space and synth themes. Pair it with a dark minimap with purple or magenta roads and the HUD looks like one cosmic interface. White hole is the alternative for a colder, starker look.
