About the Monolith design
Monolith is poured concrete. The eight slots are thick slabs with fine concrete grain, separated by deep shadow gaps that make each slab look like it was set in place with a crane. There is almost no ornament: a subtle surface pattern, an outer notch that breaks the circle, and a single accent edge that runs along the slabs in the palette color. That accent edge is the only bright element on the wheel, which makes the selected slab easy to spot when it takes the accent. The weapon name and attachment sit in the center above the 3D center mark. It is heavy and quiet at the same time, like a building with one lit window.
Pairing it with your minimap
Monolith sits between minimal and street, and it pairs with both kinds of minimap. A grey, desaturated city map is the most natural match, especially with the Concrete palette. Signal orange suits a map with orange roads for a construction or industrial feel. Deep blue fits cold night maps, Moss works with muted green park-heavy maps, and Blood gives a dark red edge for crime-heavy servers. Because the wheel is mostly neutral, the accent edge carries the whole match, so set it to your map's route color.

Monolith weapon wheel FAQ
Is Monolith minimal or street?
Both. The shapes are minimal, with no ornament and a single accent, but the concrete grain gives it a raw street feel. Lower the grain for a cleaner minimal HUD, or raise it and the surface pattern for a grittier city look.
What minimap works with Monolith?
A grey or desaturated city map is ideal, since it shares the concrete tones. Choose a palette whose accent edge matches your map roads, such as Signal orange for orange roads, and the two pieces will feel like one piece of architecture.
How do players see which slot is selected?
The selected slab takes the accent color, which is the only bright element on the wheel. Against the grey concrete it stands out immediately, even in daylight. You can also add a pop out or 3D tilt motion for extra feedback.
