About the Scope design

Scope puts your weapons inside a sniper optic. The outer housing has a knurled ring, the textured grip on a scope's turret, and the slots sit behind tinted lens glass with a soft vignette at the edges and a hint of lens glare. A reticle crosses the wheel with mil-dots, the small dots used to estimate range, and heavy posts can thicken the outer part of the crosshair like a duplex reticle. When a weapon is selected, it gets a selection tint and a range ruler along its edge. The weapon name and attachment sit in the center above the 3D center mark, where a red dot marks the middle of the reticle.

Pairing it with your minimap

Scope pairs with tactical, military and hunting minimaps. Marksman is a classic black optic with a red dot, a good fit for dark maps with red markers. Night ops has a green night-vision lens tint that matches green phosphor maps, Desert suits sand and tan terrain maps, Thermal brings warm orange-red tones for heat-vision themes, and Arctic works with white and pale blue winter maps. Match the lens tint to your minimap's background tone and the wheel will feel like you are looking at your map through the scope.

Scope weapon wheel FAQ

Does the reticle cover the weapon icons?

No. The reticle lines are thin and sit behind the icons and ammo counts, which stay in their usual positions. If you want an even clearer wheel, turn down the mil-dots and heavy posts in the studio.

Which palette fits a night-vision minimap?

Night ops. It tints the lens green like night-vision glass, which matches green phosphor or night-vision style minimaps. Keep the text white or light green so it reads clearly through the tint. Both pieces then share one tint.

Can I change the red dot color?

Yes. The red dot, lens tint, housing and reticle each have their own color control. Many owners set the red dot to their server's accent color, which also makes it match the route or marker color on their minimap.
