About the Crate design
Crate is built from military ammo crates. Each slot is a painted metal panel with rivets along its edges, metal corner caps and latches holding it together. Stencil chevrons, the yellow arrow marks used on military cargo, are painted on each panel, pointing inward. Paint wear chips the edges and a wear pattern adds scuffs across the surface, so the crates look used rather than new. The selected slot fills with the stencil color, olive drab with yellow by default, like a crate that has just been marked for pickup. The weapon name and attachment sit in the center above the 3D center mark, inside a clean round opening.
Pairing it with your minimap
Crate pairs with military, milsim and army RP minimaps. Olive drab matches green topographic or tactical maps. Desert tan suits sand and desert theater maps, Navy grey works with naval or grey city maps, Rust brings a weathered orange-brown for post-apocalyptic servers, and Black ops is dark for stealth and night operations. The yellow stencil is a strong accent, so if your map has yellow markers or roads, keep it. Otherwise, set the stencil color to your map's accent. Then check the pair in a daylight scene.

Crate weapon wheel FAQ
How many rivets does each panel have?
You set it. Rivets per edge is an adjustable effect, along with stencil chevrons, paint wear and wear pattern. Fewer rivets give a lighter, cleaner crate, more rivets make it heavier and more rugged. Try both in the live preview.
Which palette suits a desert map?
Desert tan. It shifts the panels to sand tones that match desert and dry terrain minimaps. Keep the stencil color yellow or set it to your map's route color for a clear, consistent accent. Both pieces then share one terrain.
Is Crate too rough for a clean HUD?
With paint wear and wear pattern turned down, Crate looks like new equipment rather than battered cargo. That version sits well next to a clean tactical minimap without losing its military character. The chevrons and latches still carry the army look.
