About the Cathedral design

Cathedral is a rose window. Each of the eight slots is an arch-shaped panel of stained glass, framed by lead lines that divide it into smaller pieces the way real church windows are built. Back light shines through the glass, so the panels glow from behind. Around the rim, gilded quatrefoils, the four-lobed ornaments common in gothic architecture, sit at intervals on a dark stone frame. The center is a stone rose window with foils around the weapon name and attachment text and the 3D center mark. When a weapon is selected, its panel turns ruby glass with a gilded frame. In game, the default blue glass with the ruby selection looks rich and calm at the same time.

Pairing it with your minimap

Cathedral pairs with dark, atmospheric minimaps. Rose window, blue glass with ruby selection, matches a dark navy map with red or gold markers. Emerald nave suits deep green maps, Amber chapel works with warm gold and orange tones, Violet crypt fits purple horror or gothic maps, and Ash stone is grey for a colder, more austere look. Keep the minimap simple and dark so the glass stays the richest element on screen, and use the gilding color for your map's labels or frame to tie the pair together.

Cathedral weapon wheel FAQ

Is Cathedral only for horror servers?

No. It suits gothic and horror themes, but Rose window and Amber chapel are warm and rich enough for luxury or fantasy-leaning servers too. It works anywhere the HUD should feel crafted and a little dramatic.

Can I make the lead lines thinner?

Yes. Lead weight is an adjustable effect, along with back light, rose foils and quatrefoils. Thinner lead gives larger areas of glass and a lighter look, while heavier lead makes the wheel feel older and more ornate.

Which minimap suits Violet crypt?

A dark map with purple or violet accents. Violet crypt turns the glass purple, which fits gothic, vampire or Halloween themed servers. Keep the text white and the map background near black for the best contrast.
