About the Bushido design

Bushido takes its look from Japanese sword making. The wheel is a glossy lacquer disc, and the slots are divided by blade segments in folded steel. Each blade can show a hamon, the wavy temper line you see along a katana's edge, and a wrapped collar near the hub recalls the handle wrap of a sword. Fine gold fittings sit at the joints and small studs ring the hub. The accent rim runs around the outside in the lacquer color, deep red by default. The selected slot takes the accent in a clean, calm way, with no flashing or clutter. In the middle, the weapon name and attachment appear above the 3D center mark. It is one of the quieter designs in the collection, and one of the most carefully detailed.

Pairing it with your minimap

Bushido suits a minimap with restraint: a dark map with thin lines and one traditional color. Lacquer red works with a black map with red routes, the classic yakuza pairing. Indigo matches a deep blue night map, Moss pairs with muted green or park-heavy themes, Sumi is ink black for a monochrome HUD, and Plum gives a softer, more unusual look for a Tokyo nightlife server. Keep the map uncluttered; this wheel's appeal is precision, and a noisy map would hide it.

Details

  • Folded-steel blade segments divide the eight slots.
  • A hamon temper line can run along each blade.
  • A wrapped collar circles the hub like a sword handle.
  • Fine gold fittings and hub studs add small points of metal.
  • The accent rim uses the lacquer color of the palette.

Five palettes: Lacquer red, Indigo, Moss, Sumi and Plum, all built on traditional Japanese lacquer and dye colors.

Bushido weapon wheel FAQ

What is the hamon effect?

The hamon is the wavy line along a hardened katana blade. On Bushido it runs along the blade segments between slots. You can adjust or turn it off in the studio, along with the collar wrap, accent rim and hub studs.

Is Bushido only for Japanese themed servers?

It fits them best, but the Sumi palette is simply black steel and gold, which works on any server that wants a calm, premium wheel. Paired with a dark minimap, it reads as elegant rather than themed.

How do I match it to a red and black minimap?

Choose Lacquer red, then set the lacquer color in the studio to the exact red of your map routes. Keep the weapon name and ammo text white to match your street labels, and the wheel and map will read as one set.
