About the Ops HUD design

Ops HUD is a tactical display for field operations. The panels carry a stencil hatch, diagonal lines like the markings on military equipment, with hatch density adjustable from sparse to dense. A compass ring runs around the outside with bearing marks, turning the wheel into something you could navigate by. At the center, a crosshair sits behind the weapon name and attachment text above the 3D center mark. When a weapon is selected, range-finder brackets lock onto its slot in the accent color, like a laser range finder marking a target. It is practical and clear, built for army RP and tactical servers.

Pairing it with your minimap

Ops HUD pairs with military and tactical minimaps, especially ones with a compass or grid. Olive matches green topographic maps. Desert suits sand and tan theater maps, Arctic works with white and pale blue winter maps, Night vision brings a green phosphor tint for night-op maps, and Hazard uses yellow for maps with yellow markers. Because the compass ring echoes a map's bearings, it looks particularly good next to a minimap with a visible north marker or frame. Keep the text light for readability over the hatching.

Ops HUD weapon wheel FAQ

Why does Ops HUD have a compass ring?

The compass ring ties the wheel to navigation, which makes it a natural partner for a minimap. It is an adjustable effect, along with hatch density and the center crosshair, so you can remove it for a cleaner look.

Which palette fits a night operations server?

Night vision. It uses a green phosphor tint like night-vision goggles, which matches green or night-themed tactical minimaps. Keep the text light so it stays sharp through the tint. Desert is the pick for sand and dry terrain maps instead.

How is Ops HUD different from Command?

Command is a clean console with panels, data strips and a target bracket. Ops HUD is more field gear, with stencil hatching, a compass ring and range-finder brackets. Command feels like a control room, Ops HUD like equipment carried into the field.
